Bill Colby has been painting sumi art and calligraphy for 25 years. Bill taught studio art, always printmaking, at the University of Puget Sound, Tacoma for 33 years.
His work is centered on nature’s variety of canyons, trees, rocks and abstracts. A woodblock is sometimes added to the sumi brushwork.
Bill has participated in Sumi exhibits and received several awards. He gives lectures on Chinese and Japanese printmaking and demos on printmaking.
