I was introduced to the ancient form of Sumi painting in the early 1980’s while researching art forms that would distract me from health issues. Little did I know that learning the art of Sumi sooth my soul.

Out of the Sumi painting evolved a collaboration of Mixed media; using the best elements of my Sumi painting applied to handmade paper and adding touches of gold leaf, fused lass or other natural materials.

My work has won many awards at shows both nationally and internationally.

The most rewarding aspect of my art is passing on the love of Sumi and Mixed Media through the classes I teach.
