Artist Biography
Heather’s fascination with Chinese Art stared in the 1950s bustling streets of San Francisco’s China Town. At the age of six saw her first giant Chinese Dragon dancing down the street. Heather was fascinated with this celestial beast and compelled to draw it countless times. At the age of 9, Heathers’ parents gifted her with her first set of the 4 treasures, Brush, Paper, Ink Stick and Inkstone.
In the mid-70s as a young adult living in Honolulu’s China Town, Heather attended the University of Hawaii at the Manoa Campus and studied Chinese Brush Painting with the venerable, Master Lam Oi Char. While Heather is always challenged to work in different mediums, her heart has always been close to the ancient art form of Chinese Brush Painting. Currently Heather’s newest works include Gyotaku Fish with Shrimps. Any questions please contact Heather.
