Susan Lee Roberts
Artist Biography
Susan Lee Roberts has been creating haiku for more than eight years. When she struggled to fit what she wanted to express in 3 lines, she began writing haibun. And when she discovered haiga, she was off and running. She had her first one published within 2 months. Whether inspired by something she sees, a phrase while reading a book, or a haiku that demands an image, ideas for haiga seem to pop up regularly. In 2025, six of her haiga were on exhibit at the Johnson-Humrickhouse Museum in Coshocton, Ohio. Her haiga have been published in Contemporary Haibun Online, Cold Moon Journal, and Daily Haiga. She now coordinates the Haiga Adventure Group in Washington.
